Qualitative feed microscopy

Feed microscopy is the subjective half of the quality assurance picture. It is the fastest and most practical way to identify contaminants and adulterants in ingredients and finished feeds.

The following types of analysis are available for finished feed samples and/or feed ingredients:

QUALITATIVE ANALYSES (identifies components)

  • Ingredient Examination, written opinion
  • Feed Tag Verification
  • Adulterants & Contaminants in Ingredients, (pelleted/not pelleted)

NOTE: We are not accepting samples for Quantitative Analysis at this time. No complete aquaculture feeds are accepted for analysis.

We also provide laboratory services for the food industry; including food forensics, consulting, and expert testimony.

Aquaculture feed microscopy

Ingredients for aquaculture feeds are more varied than agricultural feeds. Therefore, feed microscopy is of great importance in evaluating the quality of aquaculture feed ingredients.
